Cinque Terre cruises (click for pricing and information): SeaDream,
La Spezia offers visitors entrance to some of the most spectacular coastal areas in all of Italy, including the 5 coastal villages of the Cinque Terre and the ancient port of Portovenere. Both Portovenere and the Cinque Terre have been designated as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. In Portovenere, two historic churches, the Gothic Church of St. Peter and the Romanesque Church of St. Lawrence are popular attractions. Cinque Terre includes 5 small villages accessible by train or local cruise from La Spezia. These colorful and rustic towns hang from the rugged coast like gems. More active visitors may want to hike along the coast on the hills behind the villages.
